Brow Lamination

brow lamination

When I first heard the words Brow Lamination I thought what is that?? I straight away pictured the paper laminator from Primary School and I bet you did too! So what is Brow Lamination, how does it work and who is it for?

What is Brow Lamination

Well firstly we’ll have to get a bit sciency – At the centre of each hair strand is bonds. These bonds are what stipulate whether the hair is curly or straight. Brow lamination works by breaking down these bonds and resetting them straight. a bit like chemically straightening your hair. This means that the brows can be easily manipulated into place correcting and giving a more desirable brow shape.

What happens during the treatment?

Firstly a small amount of glue is applied to the brows. The brows are then combed straight and set into the desired position. The first solution is then applied to the brow hairs and this breaks down the bonds in the hair. A second solution is then applied to the brows. This second solution recreates the bonds but as the hairs have been glues straight the bonds set straight. After this the brows are tinted and waxed into a beautiful shape.

Who is it for?

Brow Lamination is for everyone. It is perfect for those that have unruly curly brows as the treatment changes the direction of growth and creates a much more uniform look. It is also great for those with gappy, sparse brows. So often I hear “I can’t have it done, I don’t have enough brow hair” but they are always surprised how much thicker their brows look after they have been laminated. This is because it picks up all those baby, fluffy and light brow hairs and incorporates them into the main shape. It is also great for those with gaps. As the hairs are easier to manipulate they can be brushed into the position that you want to hide those gaps. Brow Lamination is also perfect for those who like that brushed up bushy look. As you can change the direction of growth they can be brushed up to give you that bang on trend brow look

How much does it cost and how long do they last.

Brow Lamination costs £35 and lasts, with the correct after care, 6 weeks. I highly recommend you purchase a brow conditioning oil as daily use of this stops the hairs going dry. (Well you wouldn’t not condition your hair on your head would you )

I hope this has explained Brow Lamination a little bit more for you! If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Lovely place to visit. Lucy is brilliant to deal with, listens to your requirements but also gives advice, which is very useful as sometimes as you wouldn’t think of some of the ideas and they could be better. She knows what she’s talking about and doing so makes it easy to trust her judgement and not worry about the results. Would definitely recommend.

I have gone from having absolutely no eyebrows and having to spend time everyday pencilling them in, to being able to get up and not think about them at all, it has completely changed my face, saved me lots of time and I absolutely love them. Thank you, Lucy, true professional!
