LIP BLUSH – WHAT IS IT AND WHO IS IT FOR?
Lip Blush is the permanent makeup option that has become hugely popular is the last 18 months.
What is Lip Blush?
Lip blush is a permanent makeup treatment and involves implanting coloured pigment under the skin to give the lips a wash of colour.
Who is it for?
The answer to this is anyone! It is perfect for people who feel they have lost their lip line, definition or colour over the years or for anyone who want’s that ‘makeup with no effort’ look. As it is permanent it stops you having to reapply your lip colour every few hours. It is also great for anyone who wants the illusion of fuller lips without having to have lip filler, or has unsymmetrical lips. Maybe you have had lip filler and it has caused your lips to lose some of its lip line definition. If you are like me and have a really pale natural lip colour that looks invisible at times then this treatment gives them just a slight pop of colour 24/7.
Will they look natural?
With plenty of colours to choose from you can go as natural or bold as you like. You can have a super natural sheer nude that makes them just look a better, more defined version of your own lips or you can match the colour to your favourite lip shade. The possibilities are endless. Lip blush is made to be an everyday look that looks natural even when you don’t have any other makeup on. It can easily be covered if you want to apply a different shade of lip colour or want to go bolder for a night out! After the procedure the lips heal 40% lighter ensuring they are a natural finish.
Does it hurt?
The lips are numbed throughout the whole treatment, it may feel slightly scratchy at first but it should feel comfortable throughout the procedure
How long does Lip Blush last?
Lip Blush lasts for up to 2.5 years. It will fade out over time. Once it has faded enough you can have it topped back up so the colour is fresh again.
How many appointments will I need?
The procedure is split into 2 appointments. You will have the initial one and then come back 6-9 weeks later for your top up appointment. This is where we will perfect the lips and fill in any areas that need it.
I have had a cold sore in the past, does this matter?
If you have ever had a Cold sore you can still have the treatment done, you will just need to have a course of Acyclovir beforehand to minimise the chance of a break out.
