Microblading is the most natural form of Semi Permanent Eyebrows. It is perfect for those with little or no eyebrows but is also great for those with a good brow but just want a few extra hair strokes added to give more shape and definition. Microblading involves using a hand tool to deposit pigment into the top layers of the skin. This mimics natural hair strokes and gives the look of realistic eyebrows.
All Microblading appointments start with a 20 minute consultation. During this appointment we can discuss what look you want and what option is best for you, we will also choose your colour and apply your patch test. During this appointment I will measure your eyebrows and draw them in to give you an idea of what they will look like when they are finished.
Lucy has trained intensely with some of the best in the industry to ensure that she is well equipped with the knowledge and skill to create you realistic eyebrows. She has also spent hours practicing and perfecting her skills both in the training room and in the salon. As apart of her training Lucy has had to pass a number of theory exams with the latest one being her Level 4 assessment. This makes her one of a small number to have this qualification. Alongside this she has had to create an extensive portfolio of work to enable her to pass her assessments and become qualified.
As you would expect Lucy is fully qualified, insured and licensed by Rochdale Council. So you can be confident you are in good and clean hands!
Firstly using a pencil, I will map out exactly where I will add the Microblading to the natural brows. This way you can see exactly what they will look like when they have been done. Once we are both happy with the shape we will then choose which colour pigment I am going to use. I will choose the colour that most closely matches your natural hair colour and skin tone.
No, Before the treatment begins the brow area is numbed and also re-numbed numerous times whilst being Microbladed
Believe it or not this is the question I get asked most! The answer is no, to ensure your brows are as natural as possible I try to keep as much natural brow as I can and build your new shape around your brow hairs that are already there. I only remove hairs at the end of the treatment that don’t sit within the shape of your new brows.
With the correct after care they should last 12 months before needing a colour boost This can vary though depending on skin type. Please follow aftercare.
Keep brows dry for 7 days after treatment.
No makeup on the brows until fully healed.
Avoid swimming/saunas until fully healed.
Brows will go slightly dry and shed during healing. This is normal. Do not pick the dryness off as it will remove pigment.
Once fully healed you must protect brows from the sun. Always wear at least an SPF 15 on your eyebrows on sunny days and on holiday ensure a SPF 30. The sun is the main reason for premature fading.
Ensure you return for your yearly brow colour boost to ensure they stay fresh and the colour correct.
